Students, parents and teachers are celebrating at North Coast Integrated College after receiving fantastic GCSE results. 100% of our students achieved five or more GCSEs at grades A*-E, 76% of which achieved grades A* - C. These results will allow all of our students to move on to the next stage in their chosen career path; for many that is to continue their education here at North Coast Integrated College. We offer a wide range of A levels, BTECs and other options at Post 16 which fully prepares our students for third level study and the world of work.
We acknowledge and congratulate all of our students today. At North Coast Integrated College, we are extremely proud of our students who achieved the top A* grades but we equally celebrate the achievement of pupils who achieved their individual potential and their top grade.
As an integrated College we excel in getting the very best from students of all abilities. We offer a full range of traditional GCSEs alongside vocational qualifications such as Engineering, Animal Care and Hairdressing. Our course provision allows all students to gain exam success and develop their unique skills and talents.
Acting Principal Angela Passmore said, “We are delighted to welcome into sixth year our highest ever intake. It is wonderful to see our GCSE pupils continuing onto sixth year but I am particularly pleased to welcome our new sixth years who have chosen to complete Post 16 study at North Coast Integrated College.
All the staff at North Coast Integrated deserve acknowledgement for the part that they have played in the achievement of our students. In the recent inspection, the inspectors noted:
“the pupils spoke with pride about the integrated ethos of the school; they commented positively about the caring and friendly relationships they have with one another and affirmed their teachers as helpful and approachable.”
It is these relationships between students and staff that allow our pupils to achieve the highest grade that they are capable of. We also appreciate the hard work, commitment and support of parents; the partnership between home and school is vital to ensure that all our students’ achievements go from strength to strength.”
